About Suzanne
Suzanne has been designing and installing Bay Area landscapes for over 20 years. She has established a reputation for creating gardens that are both beautiful and functional, for her attention to detail and her hands-on approach. Extensive, longstanding relationships with specialty nurseries and local experts in irrigation, carpentry, stone, and metalwork allow Suzanne to bring her clients' aspirations to life. Her work represents the eclectic range of styles of the Bay region, drawing inspiration from Asian and Mediterranean landscapes, art and architecture.
Since the 1991 Oakland Firestorm, Suzanne has been actively involved with restoration of the burn zone, devising forward-thinking alternatives to traditional plantings, emphasizing an eco-friendly, low-maintenance aesthetic.
Suzanne received a B.A. in Art History from U.C. Santa Cruz and graduate study in Landscape Architecture at the University of Oregon. She was raised in the Berkeley hills and lived in Italy and Ceylon during her formative years.
